Who would’ve thought a movie date planned by two Gianna’s would end in the lifelong connection of two pretty badass chicas and connected our families together forever! Gianna & Gianna I am forever grateful.
A few weekends ago I got to witness the union of two passionate human beings. What a beautiful thing to see. The Cruzes are now formally bonded together in love and of course the signature on the dotted line. This a love story 13 years in the making, after their own separate journeys through life, children, baby momma/daddy dramas and unhappy love stories.
Before Sunday, September 13th and because of my past experience with marriage aside from the legality of the situation, I didn’t think it made a big difference. But let me tell you, what I witnessed on that Sunday evening says it does. The love, commitment and connection exponentially grew from the moment they said I Do and were introduced as husband and wife.
The tears of joy. The declaration of happiness to the happy couple, expressed by family and friends. The celebration of the union by all in attendance. The natural flow of the evening. The beautiful decorations and decadent desserts. The DJ who somehow knew what to play at the right time. Last but most certainly not least, I could see and feel God’s hand in every single detail.
This beautiful display of love and magnetic connection has renewed my view of love, marriage and happiness. Jesus, I know you are preparing him for me and I’m patiently waiting. I’m just saying. Hint, hint. Wink, wink.
